Houston’s Vortex Acquires Infrastructure Rehabilitation Contractor MCSP

The Cincinnati-based company adds specialist pipeline, manhole, culvert and tunnel rehabilitation capabilities to Vortex’s infrastructure services business.
Houston-based Vortex Companies announced September 28 that it has acquired Municipal & Contractors Sealing Products, known as MCSP. The transaction strengthens its geotechnical services offering and its presence in the Midwest.
MCSP works on municipal water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure. Its services include geopolymer and cementitious spray lining, protective coatings and chemical grout injection.

Specialist contractor capability
The acquisition adds experience in rehabilitating pipelines, manholes, culverts and tunnels. Founded in 2000, MCSP brings an established field operation serving municipalities and utilities.
For the Houston-headquartered buyer, this is an expansion of its contractor platform rather than the announcement of a particular local construction project. The release does not attach a new Texas project award to the transaction.
