State Records Show 75MW Gas Plant Registered for Black Mountain's Parker County Data Center Site

The registered "Parker Plant" consists of five 15MW turbines permitted to run year-round on land north of Weatherford, where the developer also expects to seek groundwater.
A natural gas plant registered with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality sits on Black Mountain's planned data center site at 501 Pearson Ranch Road in Parker County, Power Grab TX reported. Registration No. 179422, approved on 3 Apr 2025, covers five 15MW Siemens SGT-400 simple-cycle turbines, 75MW in total, registered to run 8,760 hours a year.
The customer of record is Fort Worth Power Core LLC. The site covers about 2,000 acres north of Weatherford, near Lake Weatherford.
The Parker County Commissioners Court adopted a resolution on 9 Jun opposing tax abatements for hyperscale data centers. The general manager of the Upper Trinity Groundwater Conservation District said in August that Black Mountain intends to request 138 million gallons of groundwater a year. No formal application had been posted as of 15 Oct.
No investment figure or general contractor has been disclosed for the Parker County site.
State records list the plant under regulated entity RN112172408, with customer number CN606278281. County commissioners discussed noise and livestock concerns on 26 May, when the land purchase came up. The Parker County site is separate from Black Mountain's $10 billion campus in Fort Worth.
