Tesla Site Observations Show Cortex and Optimus Work Advancing at Giga Texas

A November 2 aerial update shows construction activity in several parts of Tesla’s Giga Texas campus, including excavation and rebar on the east side at a site identified by the observer as a third Cortex cooling plant.

A November 2 aerial update shows construction activity in several parts of Tesla’s Giga Texas campus, including excavation and rebar on the east side at a site identified by the observer as a third Cortex cooling plant. The same report describes Cortex 2 extending roughly 25% to the north, adding to the scale of the work visible from the air. November 2 site observations

The observer also reported that the approximately 3,500-foot-long building associated with the Optimus factory had about 60% of its main structural steel assembled. Steel trusses were visible at a separate building identified in the report as an advanced chip fabrication facility, and work was observed on a launch pit associated with The Boring Company. Those building identifications and progress estimates come from site imagery. Tesla has yet to confirm the individual milestones in the materials reviewed.

A separate state filing provides a formal record for North Campus Manufacturing at 1 Harold Green Road. Registered on August 25, the ground-up project is listed at 6,974,854 square feet, with completion filed for December 31, 2029. The registration establishes the scale of that named project. Building-specific records are still needed to establish how the individual construction areas in the November imagery fit into the wider program. North Campus state registration
