Core Scientific’s $110M Denton Data Hall Fit-Out Reported Underway

Gensler designed the 27,678-square-foot interior package within Core Scientific’s existing DTO Building A.

A $110 million data hall fit-out at Core Scientific’s Denton campus was reported underway on November 2. The work covers 27,678 square feet inside DTO Building A, an existing single-story building at 8171 Jim Christal Road. The package has a defined area and construction estimate at the building level.

The state registration identifies Core Scientific Inc. as owner and Gensler as the design firm. It describes an interior fit-out that includes full sprinkler coverage. The filing lists the tenant as unassigned, and the general contractor and mechanical, electrical and fire protection teams have yet to be identified.

The project was registered on August 19 under TABS2026028247. The record shows Review Complete, with a filed construction period from September 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027. November reporting describes the work as underway. The exact date of field mobilization remains unverified independently of that report.

The fit-out forms part of Core Scientific’s conversion of the wider Denton campus from bitcoin mining to AI and high-performance computing. The November report describes Building A as the remaining hall in that conversion program. Working within an existing structure puts the emphasis on outfitting the interior for its new use, including the fire protection scope identified in the filing.

Wider campus capacity and leasing figures provide context for that conversion. The building registration establishes the cost and size of this particular package, with the hall’s own electrical capacity, end user and installation teams still unspecified.
