$22.3B, 6.3GW Power Plant Coming to Texas
A new natural-gas power development is moving forward in South Texas, with approximately $22.3 billion of proposed investment and plans for as much as 6.3GW of generation capacity.
The project is planned for Encinal in La Salle County, around 40 miles north of Laredo, and is being positioned to help meet rapidly increasing electricity demand from AI data centers, semiconductor manufacturing and other large industrial users.
