H-E-B’s $4M San Marcos fuel station and car wash targets spring 2027 opening

The filed 5,998-square-foot convenience, fuel and car wash package is separate from the supermarket that opened October 7.
H-E-B is building a convenience store, fuel station and car wash near I-35 and McCarty Lane in San Marcos. October reporting described the approximately $4 million development as under construction beside the recently opened supermarket. H-E-B’s October 7 announcement targets spring 2027 for the convenience store with fuel service and a car wash.
Texas construction records describe an approximately 5,998-square-foot building in front of the 114,000-square-foot supermarket, which opened October 7. The fuel and convenience project has its own construction schedule. The larger grocery store is already serving customers while work continues on the roadside facilities.
The new component will add three uses to the property. The convenience store provides a smaller retail space for shorter visits, alongside fuel service and a car wash. The state filing identifies the combined project and the size of the building. It leaves the pump count, car wash equipment and detailed site circulation unspecified in the available information.
The $4 million value covers the convenience store, fuel station and car wash development. The opening window is the current operating target for that package. The general contractor and the mechanical, electrical and plumbing teams have yet to be confirmed.
