SpaceX Files $12 Million Starbase City Hall and Police Station

SpaceX has registered a $12 million city hall and police station for Starbase with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The filing, registered Nov. 5, lists the owner as "Space X" at 1 Rocket Road, not the City of Starbase.

The 11,500-square-foot building would house city hall offices, a police station with limited detention rooms, and emergency dispatch. The project also includes site improvements. It is classified as Risk Category IV, the category used for essential facilities.
