The Taiwan-backed company registered a 507,100-square-foot renovation and addition at its planned $1.3 billion Fort Worth facility.

AeternZ Semiconductor Testing Corp. has registered a $300 million renovation and addition at 273 W. Everman Parkway in Fort Worth, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing. The project, titled AeternZ Factory Renovation and Addition, covers 507,100 square feet in the Fort Worth South Business Park.

The filing was registered Oct. 29 and lists the facility as Everman Fort Worth Building 2. It gives a start date of Oct. 28 and a completion date of Aug. 15, 2027. Neither the company nor the city has confirmed whether construction has begun.

AeternZ is the Texas subsidiary of Taiwan's King Yuan Electronics, which tests chips for major designers. The Fort Worth plant is the company's first in the United States.

The Fort Worth City Council approved a 10-year tax abatement on Oct. 27 covering up to 65% of incremental real and business personal property taxes. The company's planned investment of at least $1.3 billion includes about $1 billion in real property and about $300 million in business personal property. City staff valued the incentive at about $50 million.

Under the agreement, the company has committed to create at least 630 jobs by the end of 2031, with an average salary of about $80,000.

The owner of record is Everman Fort Worth Building 2&3 SPE LLC of Bethesda, Maryland. The entity name refers to a second building, though no separate filing for it has been identified. KARAarchitecture + interior of Plano is the design firm. A general contractor has not been named.
