The $42 million central utility plant package is a separate permit within LITEON’s wider Project Ranger manufacturing campus.

LiteOn’s North American Advanced Manufacturing Campus in McKinney has received a $42 million permit for a central utility plant. The November 2 permit identifies Building E at the Core5 Logistics Center, at 290 Cypress Hill Drive, as the location of the plant. The wider development is also known as Project Ranger.

A central utility plant concentrates equipment that supplies services to buildings or production operations. The scope can bring together equipment installation, electrical distribution, piping and controls in one facility. The November entry gives that work its own permit value within the wider manufacturing campus and identifies the building where it will take place.

The equipment schedule will determine the specific trade requirements. The accessible permit summary identifies the project as a central utility plant but gives no details on the plant’s capacity, the systems it will supply or how utilities will be distributed to other buildings. The extent of any cooling, process piping or controls work remains to be established from detailed plans.

The permit also leaves the delivery team open. A general contractor, specialty firms and equipment suppliers were not identified in the summary. Construction and completion dates remain unverified, with permit issuance the latest documented milestone for this particular package.
