Adolfson & Peterson Completes 106-Bed Expansion at Cross Creek Hospital in Austin

A 96,580-square-foot, two-storey addition brings the behavioral health hospital, a joint venture of Ascension Seton and Acadia Healthcare, to 196 licensed beds.
Adolfson & Peterson Construction has completed a 106-bed expansion at Cross Creek Hospital in Austin, according to Texas Contractor. The hospital is a joint venture of Ascension Seton and Acadia Healthcare, and it now has 196 licensed beds.
The work included a 96,580-square-foot, two-storey addition and 13,350 square feet of renovation. New therapy and exam rooms and an outdoor patient courtyard were added. The dining hall, kitchen and administrative and outpatient offices were renovated.
The project also added parking and upgraded the site's water-quality system. Johnson Johnson Crabtree Architects designed the expansion. The project cost was not disclosed.
The construction was phased so the existing hospital could stay in operation. The new beds take the hospital to 196 licensed beds. The opening date of the new wing and the state filing value have not yet been confirmed.
