PowerBridge has started construction on the Alpha Digital Campus in Reeves County, where the developer plans to supply its first data center phase with electricity generated from local natural gas. LandBridge’s November 4 results statement dates the start to September; its November 5 earnings call confirmed initial permits and work on a phase expected to exceed 300 MW. The proposed campus could reach 2 GW over time.

The construction disclosure follows a September land transaction that established the footprint for the initial development. PowerBridge exercised its option on 825 acres out of approximately 3,400 acres under option and entered a long-term ground lease and power royalty agreement. The lease gives the first phase a defined site. The remaining acreage provides room for potential expansion, with the timing and scope of subsequent phases still open.
