Starwood Land Advances 955-Home Community in Texas City
The master-planned project north of the planned Latitude Margaritaville adds another large residential pipeline in Galveston County.
Starwood Land is advancing a 955-home residential community in Texas City. The project is north of the planned Latitude Margaritaville development.
Site development is under way. The project adds a substantial pipeline of residential construction and related land-development work to Galveston County.
It has not been disclosed how many homes are under construction now versus planned across the full community. A total development budget, phasing plan and completion schedule were not disclosed.
The project is separate from Minto Communities' 1,318-acre Latitude Margaritaville Galveston Bay. Minto announced its land acquisition for that community on Oct. 20, with site development scheduled to begin shortly afterward.
Together, the two projects point to significant residential land development in the Texas City area over the coming years.
Civil contractors, homebuilders and other construction firms for the Starwood community have not been identified.
