Two proposed 36-month packages appeared in the October 19 committee agenda; final awards have not been confirmed.

Dallas’s October 19 Transportation and Infrastructure Committee agenda includes two construction recommendations totaling approximately $34.9 million. The proposals cover emergency and routine water-system repairs and a separate bridge maintenance, repair and improvement program.

Both are presented as prospective authorizations. The city’s meeting record says minutes are not finalized and action results are unavailable, so this update does not describe the recommendations as awarded contracts.

Two distinct construction programs

The water-system item proposes a 36-month construction-services contract for repairs and adjustments. The bridge item covers fiscal years 2027–2029, also over 36 months.

Each proposed amount is a not-to-exceed authorization. It should not be interpreted as work already invoiced, a guaranteed annual expenditure or a single new facility budget.

Procurement milestones remain ahead

The agenda places these recommendations among potential upcoming council items. Final council action, execution and work-order arrangements will establish the delivery commitments.

The proposed contractors and bid positions are retained in the member-only section. Their inclusion in an agenda is evidence of a recommendation, not evidence that either company has received a final award.
