The headquarters and manufacturing development reached its October 23 structural milestone, with completion targeted for summer 2027.

E-Space’s North American headquarters and satellite manufacturing development at Arlington Municipal Airport has reached topping out. The City of Arlington announced the milestone on October 23, marking progress on a project that combines industrial space with airport infrastructure.

The development includes a 480,000-square-foot manufacturing and office facility and a separate 33,450-square-foot aircraft hangar. Parking, an airport access road and an aircraft apron form part of the wider scope. Completion is expected in summer 2027.

A manufacturing facility and an airport interface

The factory and offices are the largest buildings in the announced program, but they are not its only construction components. The hangar and apron address aviation uses, while the road and parking support access to the site. Keeping those elements coordinated is central to delivering an operational campus.

Topping out is a structural milestone rather than confirmation that production has started. Building enclosure, internal systems, equipment installation and completion checks are distinct stages. The city’s announcement does not publish a detailed sequence or individual completion dates for those remaining activities.

Public ownership underpins the property model

Arlington Economic Development Corporation is developing and will own the industrial real-estate assets, leasing factory and corporate-office space to E-Space. The operating company and the property owner therefore have different roles in the development.

The city projects more than 2,000 high-tech jobs. That is an expected operating outcome, not a verified count of positions already filled or a measure of the construction workforce. The announcement does not establish a new construction contract value.

What to watch before summer 2027

The next meaningful updates are completion of the buildings and airport works, confirmation of handover and a timetable for manufacturing operations. The summer 2027 target should not be converted into a guaranteed production-start date without further information.

The general contractor and specialist installation firms have not been independently confirmed for this article. A topping-out announcement demonstrates construction progress, but does not establish that major trade packages remain available for procurement.
