Midland Considers $8.37M Airpark Infrastructure Contract

Reece Albert is the proposed contractor for infrastructure supporting future hangar development at Midland Airpark.
Midland’s October 27 City Council agenda included an $8.37 million construction contract with Reece Albert for the MDD Hangar Infrastructure Project.
The package would prepare Midland Airpark for future privately developed hangars. Planned work includes taxiway access, asphalt paving, permanent pavement markings, earthwork and drainage improvements.
Utility infrastructure would include water and sanitary sewer pipelines, electrical service, natural gas and communications. Siltation controls are also included in the construction scope.
The agenda identifies approximately $4.23 million in additional project-related expenses, bringing the proposed overall allocation to approximately $12.59 million.
The package concerns supporting infrastructure for aviation development rather than construction of the future private hangars themselves. Final council approval has not been independently confirmed, and a construction schedule has not been established in the reviewed material.
