Albireo Energy Acquires DFW-Based Quantum Building Solutions

The acquisition gives Albireo its first Texas operating footprint, with Quantum’s founder and team remaining in place.
Albireo Energy is entering Texas through the acquisition of Quantum Building Solutions, a Dallas–Fort Worth contractor serving commercial, industrial and institutional buildings.
Founded in 2019, Quantum has built its business around automation, systems integration and mechanical services. The October 28 transaction brings that local operation into Albireo’s national building-controls and energy-services platform.
Founder Shane Ray will remain vice president and general manager. Quantum’s team will also stay in place, preserving existing customer relationships and project commitments as the business gains access to a larger organization.
Those additional resources include remote monitoring, alarm management, private cloud hosting and fault detection. Albireo says the combination will also help the team pursue larger, more complex projects and support customers with buildings in multiple markets.
For Huron Capital-backed Albireo, the acquisition establishes a base in a region with substantial investment in data centers, healthcare, manufacturing and commercial property. Financial terms and workforce numbers were not disclosed.
