Construction on West Mockingbird Lane is progressing alongside plans for a separately registered interior fit-out.

A former publishing property on West Mockingbird Lane is being replaced by Equinix’s next Dallas data center.

The four-story DA12-1 building is under construction at 1550 West Mockingbird Lane. It totals 372,517 square feet and carries a $542.8 million construction estimate, with Margulies Hoelzli Architecture as the design firm.

Work began in February 2026, following demolition of the previous building in 2025. The registered program includes 20 generators, five generator pads and platforms for heavy equipment.

The building schedule is followed by a separate interior package. DA12-2 covers approximately $293.7 million of fit-out work on the first and second floors, planned from September 2027 through March 2028.

Building completion is targeted for October 2027. The two registrations describe different construction scopes and schedules within the wider development.
